Job Summary

The Business Analyst will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the project delivery team to define, document, and support the delivery of key features in alignment with Compass Group’s business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document current and future state business processes

· Support the Product Manager and broader Product Management team in creating and refining Epics, Features, and User Stories aligned with the Agile Framework.

· Translate business needs into clear, concise, and actionable Features and User Stories with acceptance criteria.

· Support the product teams’ testing efforts by suggesting test cases that reflect real-world scenarios

· Facilitate cross-functional workshops and discovery sessions with business and technical teams and document outcomes.

· Collaborate closely with Functional and Technical leads to ensure that solutions are feasible and fit for purpose.

· Provide ongoing support to the product team throughout the development lifecycle, including testing and business validation.

· Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate them as appropriate.

· Support change management and post-go-live user feedback collection and analysis.

· Serve as a liaison between the Product Management layer and Product teams in order to ensure features and requirements are clearly understood and executed.

· Provide end-user support for system related technical issues.

· Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Daily Scrum, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Analyst supporting large-scale enterprise software applications.

· Strong understanding of software application development methodologies, and system integrations.

· Experience writing Epics, Features, and User Stories; Gherkin experience preferred.

· Strong familiarity with the SAFe Agile Framework, including working in Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

· Experience writing user stories, features, and acceptance criteria within tools such as Azure DevOps.

· Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

· Strong analytical and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate technical and process information effectively to business and IT stakeholders.

· Experience with Compass Group or similar industries (food service, hospitality, contract services) is a plus.

· Prior experience in software development.

 

Preferred

· Scrum Master or SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe PO/PM) are a plus.
