Job Summary
We are seeking a polished and experienced Catering Manager to lead the catering operations at the new Atrium Health campus. This role oversees catered events across multiple floors, manages pantries, and ensures seamless, high-end service delivery that reflects fine dining standards. The ideal candidate is an independent, hands-on leader who can manage a dynamic environment, train and inspire a team, and deliver exceptional experiences for clients, guests, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all catering operations, including multi-floor event setups, service, and breakdowns, ensuring a flawless guest experience.
- Manage and train catering associates, ensuring proficiency in polished service techniques, menu knowledge, and event presentation.
- Act as the primary on-site liaison for clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Partner with the Executive Chef to create customized menus and execute premium events that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Monitor and control labor, food, and supply costs, ensuring operational and financial efficiency.
- Maintain and stock pantry operations across multiple areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for daily and special service.
- Uphold fine dining and corporate service standards, ensuring consistency in presentation, quality, and hospitality.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including culinary, facilities, and client partners, to ensure smooth event execution.
- Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and health standards throughout all service areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of food service experience, including at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven background in catering operations, experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or healthcare preferred.
- Strong understanding of fine dining service standards, event logistics, and client relations.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends with an emphasis on quality, presentation, sanitation, and cost controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, leadership, and staff at all levels.
- Financial and budgetary acumen with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Ability to work independently while managing a team and multiple priorities simultaneously.
