Role Overview

As a Senior Content Strategist at Compass Creative Studio, you will play a pivotal role in creating compelling content that drives client interest and supports the sales and growth objectives of Compass Group. Your expertise in writing, editing and leadership will be essential in producing high-quality materials that align with our sales goals and revenue targets. As our capabilities evolve, you will also take ownership of assigned content portfolios and help lead the development of AI-enabled tools, skills, agents and workflows that strengthen how CCS creates, maintains and validates proposal content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales-Driven Content Creation: Develop engaging copy for templates across multiple brands, designed to capture client interest and drive sales.
  • Case Studies: Research and conduct interviews to write impactful case studies for various sectors within Compass Group, showcasing our success stories and driving growth.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor new content strategists, ensuring they understand their role in supporting sales and generating revenue.
  • Collaborative Projects: Lead collaborative brainstorming sessions with team members on multiple projects to ensure content meets sales and marketing needs.
  • Sales and Marketing Partnership: Partner with sales teams to ensure content aligns with their needs and collaborate with marketing teams to enhance existing content, driving revenue.
  • Custom Content Development: Gather and determine necessary information to create tailored content that supports sales initiatives.
  • Assigned Content Stewardship: Serve as the content librarian for assigned sectors, organizing and maintaining approved templates, proof points, case studies and source materials; work with subject matter experts to validate updates, resolve conflicts and retire outdated content.
  • AI Skills, Agents and Workflows: Lead the use, development, testing and continuous improvement of approved AI tools, prompts, skills, agents and workflows for assigned sectors; use historical and live work to validate outputs, identify gaps and translate editorial standards into repeatable rules and processes.
  • Design Collaboration: Collaborate with Art Directors and Designers to ensure the best design complements the content, enhancing its impact on sales.
  • Editing and Accuracy: Edit all copy for accuracy and grammar, adhering to AP Style guidelines, ensuring high-quality content that supports sales and growth.
  • Trend Research: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in content development, including AI and knowledge management, to continuously improve and innovate our sales-driven content strategies.

Who You'll Be

  • Experienced Writer and Editor: 5+ years as a writer and editor, with proposal environment experience being a plus. You have an eye for design and can work across multiple divisions.
  • Excellent Communicator: Able to write in a conversational and engaging manner while covering technical details, enhancing content's impact on sales.
  • Skilled Researcher: Capable of distilling key information and crafting it into enjoyable and effective content that drives client interest and revenue.
  • AI-Ready, Systems-Minded Content Leader: Eager and able to learn approved AI platforms, including Microsoft Copilot Studio; takes ownership of assigned content and guides responsible adoption while maintaining a governed body of knowledge.
  • Natural Storyteller: Able to emulate a strong voice and tone for multiple brands, creating compelling narratives that support sales.
  • Confident Leader: Takes initiative and enjoys creative challenges, always aiming to support sales and drive revenue.
  • Deadline-Oriented: Able to meet short and long deadlines, switching gears quickly when needed to support sales efforts.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adobe Knowledge: Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Collaborative and Receptive: Open to critiques and changes, always with the goal of enhancing content to support sales and revenue.
