Job Summary
This is a customer facing role responsible for the day-to-day communication, program penetration, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth within assigned customers to meet business objectives. Target accounts are small to mid-size.
VENDOR SETUP & NEW-OPENING SUPPORT
- Process all vendor-setup requests in MyAdmin. Issue formal setup requests to vendors, and conduct follow-ups with vendors as needed to ensure new accounts are established and accessible in MyOrders (if applicable).
- For large openings, participate in Compass Strategic Project Calls as needed to identify vendors that are critical for opening, and ensure teams submit MyAdmin requests appropriately.
BUYSMART & PURCHASING ESCALATION
- Manage BuySmart issues that remain unresolved after the standard case process, including recurring issues affecting multiple units. Escalate issues to Category and Distribution Teams and coordinate resolution with vendors.
- Support manual escalation paths where BuySmart access is unavailable (Krafted and Google Bay Area).
FIELD SUPPORT & KNOWLEDGE ROUTING
- Serve as the field support point-of-contact for purchasing questions. Establish and share resources as inquiries warrant, and route specialized requests to the correct internal functional owner.
OPERATIONAL COORDINATION & EMERGENCY RESPONSE
- Coordinate/manage a regular meeting cadence with key distribution partners to stay close on issue resolution, new openings, special projects, or forecasts needed.
- Own the emergency-response champion role for Account Management. Serve as a liaison to Foodbuy Communications as Emergency Response communications are triggered.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years’ experience in account management or customer success
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
- Project Management skills / experience
- Ability to build effective long-term interpersonal relationships proactively across functions both within the organization and external parties, working with others towards mutually acceptable solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPivot, Word & PowerPoint required.
- Up to 30% Travel Annually
