Job Summary

Job Description:

The Sr Analyst will provide technical accounting guidance to business leaders regarding complex financial accounting, reporting issues, and transaction structuring. The Sr Analyst will also be responsible for the purchase accounting and valuation of all acquisition/divestiture transactions. The role provides the opportunity to work with Senior Leadership to directly impact key business decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

To include a combination of the following:

· Serve as accounting subject matter expert for ad-hoc transactions, perform accounting research to determine appropriate treatment under relevant accounting guidance, and ensure proper accounting and reporting of these transactions

· Write position papers on technical accounting and reporting matters in compliance with IFRS

· Participate in the M&A process to review transaction structures, agreements, and purchase price allocations

· Complete purchase accounting for acquired and divested entities

· Provide guidance and assistance in the proper recording of assets acquired and liabilities assumed in an acquisition

· Calculate fair value of acquired intangible assets utilizing discounted cash flow models

· Assist in annual impairment reviews of intangible assets

· Interact with external auditors to ensure any technical accounting issues are appropriately addressed

· Participating in the design and implementation of training for finance and other areas

· Maintain, review, and reconcile assigned corporate accounts

· Responsible for monthly accounting close process, which includes accounting entries and reconciliations for acquisitions related accounts

· Assist in annual budgeting/forecasting procedures for assigned accounts

· Perform special projects, as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

· CPA

· 3-5 years of accounting/audit experience

· Knowledge of IFRS and / or US GAAP

· Ability to work with Senior Accounting Management across multiple sectors

· Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Public Accounting audit experience

· M&A experience

· Microsoft Power Platform / RPA experience

· SAP & Essbase experience

· MS in Accounting
