Job Summary:

The Vice President of Operations serves as a senior technology leader responsible for enhancing and developing the core operational capabilities necessary for scalable growth. This role focuses on building and refining vendor management, production support operations, quality assurance, and portfolio management, ensuring these functions are robust and able to support Foodbuy’s long-term strategic objectives.

The position will report to the Senior Vice President, Foodbuy Technology.

Responsibilities:

Through these responsibilities, the Vice President of Operations will deliver the structure, alignment, and operational maturity required to achieve the Foodbuy sector’s long-term growth objectives.

  • Vendor Management: Develop and mature vendor management practices to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Run Operations: Evolve and strengthen run operations, implementing best practices to support sector growth and operational stability.
  • Quality Assurance: Modernize quality assurance processes to maintain high standards and drive continual improvement across technology initiatives.
  • Portfolio Management: Build and enhance portfolio management capabilities for effective oversight and strategic alignment of technology projects.
  • Structure and Alignment: Provide leadership that brings clarity, structure, and cohesion to operational functions, facilitating efficient collaboration and execution.
  • AI-Centric Capabilities: Drive the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence within operational practices to support innovation and sector objectives.
  • Environment Management: Mature environment management practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and readiness for future growth.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in technology operations or related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in senior leadership guiding enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing cross-functional teams across program delivery, release management, production support, vendor oversight, and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of agile practices, ITSM, DevOps, and vendor governance is essential.
  • Track record of balancing operational stability with transformation and consistently driving reliability and growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management are required, as well as the ability to influence executive decisions.
  • Experience in food service, retail, supply chain, or B2B platforms is preferred.
