Salary: $90,000 to $110,000/year

Join FISD as a District Chef - Baylor School
As the District Chef, you will lead all culinary operations at Baylor School, a prestigious co-educational middle and high school located in Chattanooga, TN. This role is based on-site at Baylor and is responsible for a high-volume, multi-unit dining program that serves approximately 1,000 students, including 240 boarding students.
This role requires strong leadership, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the dining operations at Baylor School
- Teaches, trains, and mentors chefs
- Responsible for driving innovation
- Helps chefs manage cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- Teaches Chefs how to plan and create all menus
- Shows chefs in the region how to purchases and manage inventory
- Will bring up the skill level of chefs in the region
- Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
- Develops and communicates strategies for improving customer experience
- Provides training programs to assure consistent, high quality food
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree preferred
- A minimum of five years of culinary management experience is required
- Prior experience in an education setting preferred
- At least two years of multi-site culinary management experience is required
- High volume production and catering experience is essential
- Previous experience managing cost controls
- Desire to learn and grow with a top-notch foodservice company
