Salary: $140,000 - $150,000

Pay Grade:  16

Job Summary

 

The Director, Regional Operations will be a unit leader for our organization overseeing the launch and growth of self-performance operations within the western region. This role will be responsible for leading all aspects of the self-performance delivery model of kitchen equipment maintenance, repair and installation services by ESFM’s KES unit.

Responsible for successfully directing and leading all activities of this business delivery model, including safety, operations, training, ensuring best-in-class service delivery, managing utilization rates to an expected level of profitability, and building and growing the function. Works with all levels of the clients’ facilities and executive leadership teams in all matters relating to self-performed delivery of kitchen services in two key markets in the west. This position requires the ability to build good rapport and strategic alignment with our clients as well as deliver a much larger strategic approach to the organization. The KES Director of Regional Operations will have influence on internal site managers and front-line associates.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Hiring of qualified, trained technicians in key markets to delivery kitchen equipment maintenance, repair and installation
  • Hiring of additional support staff, as needed and as the program grows, to develop preventive maintenance programs and route-based planning/scheduling
  • Manage technician pool and other staff performance to support client-required service level KPIs
  • Lead the selection and implementation of technology platform(s) to support the self-performance function of KES
  • Engage with clients and perspective clients to promote client awareness of KES self-perform program and value proposition
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with the provisions of client contracts
  • Drive utilization and billable maintenance activities amongst technician pool to established targets to ensure financial success of the program
  • Develops financial forecasts; balances programs and resources for KES self-perform program
  • Maintains an awareness of the competition and market conditions internal and external to the accounts and districts.
  • Monitor work standards, customer service delivery and work flow.
  • Demonstrates and promotes corporate culture, values and management philosophy.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and enthusiastic attitude in striving for and meeting all business goals and objective.
  • Recognizes the importance of effective leadership in meeting and targets set forth in the region's performance plan.
  • Recognizes the need for and demonstrates good communication and listening skills with clients, customers and employees.
  • Visits assigned account locations on a regular basis to ensure standardization and the sharing and exchange of ideas occurs.
  • Promotes teamwork within the region.
  • Represents the corporation both professionally and ethically at all times.

 

Ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with a service-based or mobile maintenance organization
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role, preferably in a large, matrixed organization
