Job Summary
This Analyst level position is on the E15 analytics team within Levy and Rank + Rally and will spearhead the delivery of analytical insights and tools to our operators, partners, and organizational leaders. In this role, you will be responsible for working with E15's Director and Manager of Strategy and Analytics team to implement and contribute to the strategy for the deployment and focus of analytics insights and tools across hospitality initiatives. Additionally, this position is responsible for helping establish and advance the methods, processes and standards of analytics that fuel the innovation that is driving Levy and Rank + Rally Operations forward. Ultimately, this role will focus on conducting data-driven projects surrounding key initiatives including the strategic deployment of E15’s proprietary analytics products.
This is an in-person position based at our offices in downtown Chicago with expectations of being in the office at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis
- Support, manage, or directly complete ad-hoc analytics projects as needed or required
- Gather and maintain specific knowledge about the venues when conducting analyses, including physical configuration, proposed technology, and operational processes
- Develop the best practice for data collection while proactively monitoring current data sources and availability
- Help develop and conduct new types of analyses to further understand the business and uncover insights
Product Development & Scaling
- Develop reporting (heat maps, dashboards, slide decks, status updates) standards and formats for operator, leadership, and client end use
- Analyze and build optimal scalable solutions around pricing, cooking projections, menu analysis, cost of sales, labor, and insights delivery.
- Create documentation and trainings on solutions and tools to enable adoption of solutions across business units
- Identify opportunities and contribute to the implementation of enhancing an existing process or creating a new process
Strategic Partnership & Insight Delivery
- Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and understand their overall strategies and business objectives
- Leverage available artificial intelligence, consumer insights, and emerging technology to knowledgably speak to trends across the industry
- Produces high quality, meaningful, and precise presentations for periodic deliverables that communicate key insights, findings, and recommended action items to internal operational leaders and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business analytics, computer science, AI, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in quantitative, analytical and/or client-facing businesses as well as experience interacting with internal organizational leadership
- Some experience using SQL, R, Python, Tableau and/or PowerBI for data analysis
- High level of computer literacy with expertise in Excel modeling
- Experience using data visualization tools, visual features of statistical software tools or PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences
- Basic understanding of AI and can share examples of leveraging it to increase efficiency
- Passion for or prior experience in client service, hospitality, food, and/or retail is preferred
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a tight deadline driven environment and the ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Can share examples of effective storytelling with data
- Can share examples of using data and creativity to solve complex problems
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and other departmental team members and can share examples of excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills within a team environment
