Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations for our opening location in Chicago. This role is ideal for a chef with a strong foundation in upscale dining, steakhouse-adjacent cuisine, or classic American cooking, combined with proven leadership and operational skills.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for help with menu development, team building, kitchen systems, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Chef de Cuisine
Background in upscale dining, steakhouse, classic American, or luxury hotel kitchens
Strong leadership and team-development skills
Solid understanding of food costing, labor control, and kitchen operations
Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a high-expectation environment
Opening experience is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all culinary operations and kitchen leadership
Develop and execute menus grounded in classic technique and premium ingredients
Recruit, train, and mentor a professional kitchen team
Establish kitchen systems, standards, and opening procedures
Manage food costs, labor, inventory, and vendor relationships
Ensure consistency, quality, and execution across all services
Maintain health, safety, and sanitation compliance
Collaborate with FOH leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience
