Job Summary

Canteen is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Business Insights Analyst to support our Coffee, Pantry, and Snacks programs. In this role, you’ll transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter decisions, improve service performance, and enhance client engagement. You’ll work closely with the Director of Coffee & Refreshment Services and the Pantry & Snacks Program Manager to track KPIs, optimize operations, and deliver tailored reporting for our OCS/Pantry business.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own and manage dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, OneCup, OneWarehouse, Tangelo)
  • Deliver regular and ad hoc reports on key metrics, including:
    • OCS/Pantry client service performance (primary focus)
    • Sales trends and same-store growth
    • Inventory and stock-out analysis
    • Service metrics and budget tracking

Insight Development

  • Translate data into actionable insights for internal teams and client partners
  • Analyze program performance and client engagement to identify improvement opportunities
  • Present findings in clear, visual formats tailored to diverse audiences
  • Support sales operations with insights for new business and program expansion

Client-Facing Support

  • Prepare and deliver custom reporting packages for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and RFPs
  • Provide data support during client onboarding and program refreshes
  • Maintain clarity and alignment around KPIs and performance expectations
  • Create and manage client-facing dashboards and reporting tools

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with operations, sales, and category teams to align data with field insights
  • Recommend improvements to data collection, reporting processes, and system utilization
  • Explore new tools and methods to enhance business intelligence delivery

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or sales operations
  • Experience in foodservice, vending, pantry programs, or CPG strongly preferred
  • Technical proficiency in:
    • Power BI, Sigma, Tableau
    • OneCup, OneWarehouse, Tangelo (or similar platforms)
    • Microsoft Excel and related data tools
  • Ability to manage large datasets, identify anomalies, and synthesize complex information
  • Strong communication and presentation skills—able to bridge the gap between data and operations
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and organizational awareness
