Salary: $99,000 - $115,000
Pay Grade: 15

Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and architectural support staff within a high-rise laboratory and office building. This role ensures timely completion of work orders, supports and plans shutdowns, manages inventory and procurement of operational materials, and provides direct oversight of architectural work. The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining facility functionality, safety, and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate MEP and architectural technician activities across lab and office environments.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders by all team members.
- Track and report on team member projects and performance metrics.
- Provide hands-on support for MEP systems and activities, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Lead planning and execution of facility shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and tracking of all facilities operations materials, parts, tools, and PPE.
- Oversee architectural maintenance and minor construction projects, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for compliance, audits, and internal reviews.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, preferred. or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities operations, including MEP systems and team supervision.
- Strong understanding of building systems, shutdown protocols, and safety procedures.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and work order tracking.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory management practices.
- Experience in project management of complex facilities systems upgrade and/or commercial facilities equipment replacement preferred.
