MAINTENANCE TECH, SR (HVAC/JOURNEYMAN) (FULL TIME)

 

  • We are hiring immediately for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, SR (HVAC/JOURNEYMAN) (FULL TIME) position.
  • Location: Wyoming Medical Center 1233 E 2nd St, Casper, WY 82601 Note: online applications accepted only.

  • Requirement: Substanial prior professional experience in a similar senior maintenance role, with Journeyman HVAC License. Please upload current resume with application, and discuss full job scope in Interview. Responsibilities include:  
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, rooftop units, VAVs, pumps, and associated controls.
    • Conduct daily inspections of mechanical equipment, identify operational deficiencies, and complete corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency. 
    • Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to maintain proper temperature, humidity, pressure relationships, and energy performance. 
    • Lead and coordinate HVAC preventive maintenance programs, and contractor activities while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 
    • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, work orders, equipment performance, and regulatory requirements, while providing technical guidance and training to junior technicians. 
  • Pay Range: $32.85 per hour to $36.57 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: 
Performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the facility's engineering and maintenance functions. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include: 
o    Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment. 
o    Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills and the ability to perform repairs across multiple types of equipment.
o    Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunctions of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills and licensing requirements as needed. 
o    Leads a group of workers on a project 
o    Teaches maintenance skills to other members of the department.
o    Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using a variety of company tech systems. 
o    Oversees fleet maintenance support including but not limited to welding, plumbing, electrical, food truck kitchen maintenance, driving of vehicles, on campus fleet troubleshooting support, generator fixes, and general maintenance. 
o    Reviews work of outside vendors and non-licensed maintenance workers; creates punch lists. 
o    Determines manpower, material needs and deadlines for jobs or projects. 
o    Reads blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout; plans own work layout. 
o    Makes routine computations as needed. 
o    Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes tests and inspections.
o    Responds to emergency problems in the facility and performs emergency repairs as needed. 
o    Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems. 
o    Serves as a member of facility's emergency response team. 
o    Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications May Include:
o    Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline. 
o    Holds a specialization in one trade as evident by possession of an appropriate Journeyman's license issued by the State. 
o    Must have one of the following: Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, Journeyman Plumber License, Carpentry, Welding, Steam and Pipefitting, Masonry or Electronic Instrumentation. 
o    Valid driver's license. 
o    Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout.
