Job Summary:
The primary duty of this leadership position is supporting compliance team members to drive compliance to all programs including the rebate-ability percentage of each order guide balanced with the needs of operations. Duties include identification of non-compliance order guides and corrective action; interfacing with other stakeholders on non-compliance issues; supporting commodity products and participating in the procurement process to assist in defining quality standards; developing & monitoring specification limits; conducting product analysis to assure conformance; and analyzing trends on product deficiencies and establishing vendor auditing protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful execution of managed order guide audits, new program rollouts, courtesy shipments, distributor transitions and similar projects to deliver, measure and maintain forecasted results.
- Communicates with functional teams to ensure a robust understanding of the processes, supply chain needs and upcoming projects to optimize efficiencies during implementation of purchasing programs.
- Analyze new program opportunity analysis for procurement team.
- Provide audit and sales tracking reports by distribution center to evaluate center and program execution.
- Develop processes and technology to improve audits for both business segments (Compass and Members)
- Identify reasons for non-compliance on managed order guide and formulate a plan of corrective action.
- Communicate non-compliance issues to field implementation managers and interface with category managers, their analysts and the sector culinary.
- Work with stakeholders for disposition of slow and dead inventory.
- Report and ensure fiscal viability of a new program roll out.
- Influence and drive customer purchasing decisions.
- Lend support to key company initiatives, strategic projects and other ad hoc activities.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience providing corporate level procurement support for multi-unit food service or other multi location contract services operations; GPO experience a plus.
- 4+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Above average competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Understanding of purchasing/procurement contract terms and conditions; understanding of Broadline distribution a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills needed to manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness.
- Foodservice operations experience and/or a culinary background can be helpful.
- Strong professional interpersonal skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills are required for this position.
