Job Summary
The Consulting Data Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed strategies for our largest client relationship. This position serves as the primary analytics resource, ensuring that insights and reporting solutions directly support client objectives and strengthen the partnership.
You will take ownership of developing and optimizing reporting and data infrastructure tailored to client needs, with a focus on accuracy, security, and accessibility. Leveraging tools such as Power BI, you will deliver actionable insights that guide strategic decision-making and create measurable impact for the client.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a consultative mindset, translating complex data into clear, meaningful recommendations that influence business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Power BI reporting stack, including report creation, dataset management, performance tuning, and governance.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with client/business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive dashboards and reports.
- Implement and follow data security and governance practices, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain data pipelines feeding Power BI.
- Support ad-hoc analysis to answer key business questions and provide insights to leadership.
- Document processes, standards, and best practices for reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and finance, supply chain, and external partners to align analytics solutions with business priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or other related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles.
- Primary hands-on experience with Power BI (building dashboards, DAX, Power Query, dataset optimization).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools (Sharepoint, OneDrive, Power Automate, etc.)
- Familiarity with data security practices, including role-based access control, row-level security, and data governance frameworks.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to appropriately present potentially technical information appropriately to a non-technical audience.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns, resolve inconsistencies, and translate technical findings into clear business insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Microsoft Fabric Platform.
- Experience with cloud data environments (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools (Agile, JIRA, Asana, etc.).
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of projects, with strong multitasking ability.
- Master’s degree in related field.
