Job Summary

The Role

The Director of Culture, Opportunity & Inclusion (COI) is responsible for shaping, advancing, and embedding the enterprise COI strategy across Compass Group. This role serves as a strategic leader and steward of the COI narrative, ensuring it is clearly articulated, consistently activated, and meaningfully integrated into the organization’s people and business priorities.

 

Working in close partnership with the Global Director and senior stakeholders, the Director translates enterprise strategy into scalable activation frameworks, engagement strategies, and leadership enablement tools. This role drives alignment across sectors and functions, ensures COI priorities are embedded in how the organization operates, and leads enterprise-wide efforts that strengthen culture, opportunity, and inclusive growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Enterprise COI Strategy & Stewardship
•    Lead the development, evolution, and stewardship of the enterprise COI strategy and narrative
•    Ensure alignment of COI priorities with broader people, culture, community, and business strategies
•    Establish clear frameworks that guide consistent understanding and application of COI across sectors and regions
•    Identify emerging cultural, workforce, and business trends to inform strategic direction
•    Provide thought leadership to senior leaders on culture, opportunity, and inclusion priorities


Engagement & Enterprise Activation
•    Design and lead enterprise-wide COI engagement strategies, including major launches, campaigns, and milestone moments
•    Develop scalable activation plans that drive measurable adoption and cultural integration
•    Oversee the creation of executive-level presentations, leader toolkits, implementation guides, and communications
•    Equip senior leaders with messaging, tools, and strategic guidance to champion COI within their organizations
•    Ensure consistency of messaging while allowing flexibility for local and sector adaptation

 

Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with HR, Communications, Talent, Operations, and sector leadership to embed COI into enterprise initiatives
•    Drive shared ownership and governance structures that support sustainable implementation
•    Act as the strategic connector between COI vision and operational execution
•    Represent COI in enterprise forums and cross-functional leadership discussions


Measurement, Insights & Impact
•    Establish metrics and success indicators to assess activation, engagement, and cultural impact
•    Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform continuous improvement
•    Ensure storytelling and reporting reinforce enterprise accountability and momentum

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field
•    10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise strategy, culture, engagement, communications, or related leadership roles
•    Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
•    Passion for advancing opportunity, belonging, and inclusive growth at scale 
•    Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders
•    Exceptional writing, storytelling, and narrative development skills
•    Proven ability to translate enterprise strategy into scalable frameworks and activation plans
