Job Summary

The Employee Retention Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance the employee experience, strengthen engagement, and improve retention across field operations. This role serves as a trusted resource to associates and leaders, identifying retention risks, analyzing workforce trends, and implementing solutions that support a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is passionate about employee engagement, relationship building, and creating meaningful experiences that help associates feel safe, supported, and appreciated.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with field leaders to support employee engagement and retention strategies across assigned business groups.
  • Manages and/or assists with the HR functions of all new business transitions.
  • Provide compensation and market analyses for sector and field operations.
  • Conduct stay interviews and analyze feedback to identify retention opportunities, trends, and potential attrition risks.
  • Monitor turnover metrics and workforce data to develop targeted action plans that address retention challenges and improve employee experience.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on associate engagement, recognition, career development, and retention best practices.
  • Create and support onboarding programs to ensure new associates have a positive and successful transition into the organization.
  • Create and support the design, implementation, and evaluation of engagement and retention initiatives that enhance organizational culture.
  • Support the administration of associate engagement surveys, including communication, results analysis, action planning, and follow-up.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and leadership discussions centered on engagement, retention, and employee experience. (*including New Manager Orientation)
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations teams to proactively address workplace concerns and improve associate outcomes.
  • Supports Field Operations in HR ensuring federal and state law compliance as well as consistent application of Company HR policies.
  • Lead or participate in organizational initiatives focused on culture, wellness, recognition, diversity and inclusion, and employee development.
  • Prepare reports and presentations highlighting retention metrics, engagement trends, and progress on key initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, etc; equivalent experience considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in employee engagement, retention, human resources, a plus.
  • Experience analyzing workforce data and translating insights into practical retention and engagement solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Up to 30% travel may be required.
