Job Summary
The Manager of Regulatory & Training is responsible for:
- Supporting the management of Compass’s nutrition, wellbeing, and allergen training programs
- Monitoring nutrition, allergen, and safety-related legislation and updating stakeholders on regulatory changes
- Other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Management
- Maintain and update Compass’s nutrition, wellbeing, and allergen training programs to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Partner with Learning & Development to incorporate best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Handle monthly tracking and invoicing for internal teams and external training certification providers.
- Monitor training completion rates and compliance metrics through the Compass Learning System; generate regular reports for leadership and sectors.
- Identify opportunities to enhance training engagement and effectiveness through innovative tools and methods.
Regulatory Monitoring
- Continuously track federal, state, and local regulatory changes related to nutrition, allergens, and safety.
- Communicate actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of enforcement.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Hospitality Management, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in training or Learning & Development, including instructional design.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training platforms preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative processes preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Prior experience in the food service industry is required.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools; experience with data analysis preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders.
