Navigate Internship

Internship Overview:

The Navigate Internship Program is a paid program that gives students and young adults the opportunity to work in a dynamic and inspiring kitchen culture. Interns will work closely with culinary leaders and receive on the job training and mentoring. This program will provide an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes at a leading food service & hospitality organization.

Internship Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a professional culinary program in high school, college or be able to provide appropriate documentation of culinary background
• Meet school or program’s GPA requirement for internship, if applicable
• Successful completion of industry recognized sanitation standards training
• Successful completion of Into to Culinary Standards coursework, if applicable
• Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements
• Must be able to pass background check
• Negative drug test, if applicable
• Applicants are required to demonstrate a positive and coachable attitude toward the internship requirements

Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):

• Kitchen management
• Food preparation
• Following standardized recipes and procedures
• Food costing and accounting
• Following sanitation and safety regulations and procedures
• Executing operational standards
• Build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal and professional skills
• Contribute individually and as a team member to support culinary services and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager

Learning Objectives:

• Demonstrate awareness, understanding and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment
• Experience opportunities to learn, observe, and practice a variety of experiences in the world of hospitality and culinary arts

This is a paid internship but is not benefit-eligible.
