Pizza Cook - Spectrum Center

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and energetic Pizza Cook to join our food service team at Spectrum Center. As a Pizza Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas quickly and efficiently during events, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
•    Completes basic prep work including stretching dough, saucing, cheesing, topping, cutting, portioning and staging pizza items for event service.
•    Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency.
•    Checks pizzas for proper cooking, appearance, temperature, portioning and holding times before service.
•    Operate pizza ovens and related kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
•    Uses smallwares, utensils, hot boxes, cutting tools and oven equipment safely while following proper handling procedures.
•    Restock ingredients and supplies as needed throughout the event.
•    Maintains adequate levels of dough, sauce, cheese, toppings, boxes, trays, paper goods and other service supplies during high-volume periods.
•    Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as assigned.
•    Supports setup, production, replenishment, packaging, labeling and breakdown of pizza station items before, during and after events.
•    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and kitchen area.
•    Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling, storage and labeling.
•    Ensures food items are properly labeled, dated, stored, rotated and maintained at safe temperatures.
•    Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other concession workers.
•    Communicates product needs, timing concerns, shortages and service updates to supervisors and team members.
•    Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests at service counters, if applicable.
•    Follows supervisor direction and asks questions when unsure of recipes, station setup, service expectations or procedures.
•    Adheres to all Company appearance standards, scheduled arrival times and break policies.

Qualifications:

•    Previous experience in food preparation or pizza making preferred.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
•    Knowledge of food safety standards; ServSafe certification a plus.
•    Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
•    Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
•    Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment:

•    High-energy arena setting with large crowds and loud noise levels during events.
•    Standing and moving for extended periods in a hot kitchen environment.
•    Shifts typically occur during concerts, sports games and other live events.
