Job Summary
The Pizza Culinary Supervisor supports pizza preparation, event-day service and station execution at Spectrum Center. This role helps keep the pizza station organized, guides team members during service and ensures food quality, cleanliness, food safety and timely production in a fast-paced arena environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, cut, stage and serve pizzas according to standardized recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Support pizza station setup, production, replenishment, packaging, labeling and breakdown before, during and after events.
• Help guide pizza cooks and assigned food-service associates during prep, event service and closing tasks.
• Assist with basic training on recipes, station setup, oven safety, food handling, sanitation, labeling and service expectations.
• Monitor pizza quality, cooking, temperature, portioning, appearance, holding times and product availability during service.
• Operate pizza ovens, smallwares, utensils, hot boxes, cutting tools and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Restock dough, sauce, cheese, toppings, boxes, trays, paper goods and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe pizza station and kitchen area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, labeling, dating, rotation and temperature-control requirements.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, product shortages or service concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Communicate product needs, timing updates and service concerns with team members and supervisors.
• Provide professional, respectful and helpful service when interacting with guests, team members and supervisors.
• Follow supervisor direction and support team members with basic recipe, setup or service questions.
• Adhere to Company appearance standards, scheduled arrival times and break policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Previous pizza-making, food preparation or high-volume food-service experience preferred.
• Previous lead, trainer or event-service experience preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to support team members during service.
• Knowledge of food safety standards; ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, quality and detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and event-based schedules.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
• Fast-paced arena environment with large crowds, loud noise and high-volume event service.
• Standing, moving and working in a hot kitchen environment for extended periods.
• Shifts are based on concerts, games and other live events.
• May help guide assigned pizza production areas before, during and after service.
