Job Summary:
This role is dedicated to the development and management of retail-focused planograms and merchandising across key categories and business lines. The Manager will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage planograms and merchandising that drives sales growth.
Using retail reporting, KPIs, and both internal and external data sources, the Manager will guide insights into actionable performance tools. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that product placement and assortment strategies are optimized to deliver value, align with business objectives, and support long-term success.
Responsibilities:
The Manager, Retail Programs will be responsible for leading the development, and execution of planograms and retail performance tools to drive sales, margin, and like for like growth. This role requires retail, CPG knowledge, close collaboration with product experts, data teams, and sector leaders to ensure planograms are optimized to organizational goals and market dynamics.
- Lead the review, management and implementation of planograms across multiple sectors.
- Develop and evaluate existing planograms to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Review and performance metrics, operational feedback and translate findings into actionable planogram strategies.
- Continue collaboration with developing planogram methodology, SKU compliance, and planogram software.
- Guide planogram initiatives from pilot through full-scale implementation, managing deliverables, resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate across a matrixed organization, including associates, suppliers, clients, and retail operators, to ensure alignment and execution.
- Provide incremental support to drive innovative programs
- Monitor industry and competitive trends to identify shopper behaviors, assortment opportunities, and shelf strategies that inform planogram design.
- Achieves goals measured by KPIs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management or related field
- 3+ years professional experience in CPG, retail, C-store or similar
- Experience with planogram, category development and analysis
- Experience in the beverage business (bottler, CPG, retailer)
- Business acumen to analyze category performance and make recommendations
- Executive level reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel
