Job Summary
Compass Group North America is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Financial Analyst to support Foodbuy LLC. This role is integral to delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and owning the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for key clients.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and brings strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail. Success in this role requires the ability to operate independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and effectively partner across teams.
Primary Responsibilities
· Own and manage the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for key clients
· Execute monthly close activities including journal entries and reconciliations
· Prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis
· Serve as primary point of contact for accounting processes
· Support business partners and team deliverables
· Identify and drive process improvements and automation
· Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by management
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· CPA certification or candidate preferred
· 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit
· Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools strongly preferred
· Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar)
· Experience working in a large, decentralized, or multi-unit organization
· Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities independently
· Experience delivering presentations to senior management and department customers

· Strong accounting knowledge with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
· Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a deadline-driven environment
· Ability to manage high volumes of work and competing priorities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organization and planning skills
· Ability to foster solid business partnerships across multiple disciplines
· Collaborative team-oriented mindset
· Food industry experience is a plus
