Job Summary:

Compass Group USA is searching for a Senior Vice President of Sales for its Compass Healthcare Sector (Morrison , Crothall, Intelas, Touchpoint & Unidine Brands). In this role you will lead a team of Vice Presidents and Field Sales Executives responsible for growing our Acute Care portfolio across the United States selling both food and support service lines. Ideally located in Charlotte, NC, you will be responsible for all aspects of the selling process, from prospecting through contract negotiations.

You will lead a team of approximately 30 individuals, managing their daily activities, development and overall success. Equally important, you will partner with our operations team to develop a winning growth culture. In this position, you will report to the Chief Growth Officer, Compass Group USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of excellence and attention to detail while leading internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Set the national growth strategy for the Compass Healthcare sales organization and align it with company growth priorities
  • Partner closely with sector operations leadership to shape client solutions, competitive positioning, and long-term market expansion
  • Aggressively drive new business revenue and profit
  • Ability to implement and coach the Compass selling process for improved team performance
  • System-driven and disciplined mindset to manage 3-year views of pipeline to deliver growth with pace through a diverse set of brands, products, and services.
  • Lead your team to build strong relationships over varying selling cycles
  • Increase pipeline size and velocity
  • Being present and "in the weeds" with sellers and most critical pursuits
  • Stay close to the field and support sellers on the most critical pursuits
  • An excellent communicator at all levels of the Compass and Client organizations

Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years as a senior leader
  • Ability to retain and attract top talent
  • High degree of self-awareness
  • Strategy Development: Developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets
  • Track record of building successful teams that exceed sales and/or budget targets
  • Team Leadership: Leading and managing the sales team, including hiring, training and performance evaluation
  • Sales Planning: Collaborating with marketing and operations to develop comprehensive sales plans and forecasts
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Analyzing sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve performance
  • Market Research: Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
  • Budget Management: Developing and managing the sales department budget and allocating resources effectively
  • Collaboration with senior executives and cross functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Reporting and Communication: Providing regular reports and updates to the executive team on sales performance, key metrics and market trends
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with operating partners and support teams
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Strong presence and ability to engage both in person and remote audiences; comfortable in the C suite
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the evolving needs of a high growth sales team
  • High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices
  • Extensive expertise in data driven prospecting, inside sales engagement, and digital outreach campaigns
  • Expertise / Proficiency in DISC and Sales Funnel
  • Outstanding Communication Skills (Listening, Writing and Speaking)
  • Collaborative first mindset with sales and sales support, senior leadership peers, operating partners, and sector marketing teams
  • Healthcare experience (sales and or operations) required.
