Job Summary
Compass Group is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive growth, client excellence, and strengthen our footprint across Military and Government channels. This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, field support, and long-range strategic planning. The ideal candidate understands how decisions move through command structures and acquisition pathways and brings the emotional intelligence needed to build trust across complex stakeholder environments.
Mission focus...
- Expand Compass Group’s presence across Military and Government sectors through disciplined business development, targeted outreach, and structured relationship management.
- Build a pipeline rooted in market intelligence, emerging requirements, funding cycles, and program-level insights.
- Shape strategy for new opportunities in Military and Government market by assessing mission needs, capability gaps, and operational requirements.
- Create solutions to meet client requirements, guide clients through solution development, proposal refinement, and contract progression, ensuring alignment with federal and DoD acquisition norms.
- Establish strong cross-functional leadership relationships with operations, finance, support, and resource teams to ensure a regular cadence of communication and high levels of execution of military and government accounts.
- Provide accurate forecasting, performance tracking, and reporting to inform leadership decisions.
Key responsibilities...
- Conduct market assessments and competitive analysis tailored to government and defense environments.
- Engage with installations, commands, agencies, and contracting communities to build awareness of Compass Group capabilities.
- Collaborate with culinary, operations, strategic projects, and finance teams to create responsive, mission-aligned solutions.
- Participate in briefings, capability discussions, and program reviews.
- Engage with military clients to maximize operational alignment with client expectations, attend quarterly business reviews and lead client excellence initiatives
- Support contract transitions and onboarding to ensure readiness, continuity, and client satisfaction.

- A military background that brings an instinctive understanding of mission cadence, hierarchy, procurement processes, and organizational culture.
- High emotional intelligence that supports clear communication, relationship maintenance, and steady navigation of complex or politically sensitive environments.
- Strong sales planning and forecasting discipline grounded in real intelligence—market shifts, competition mapping, and program lifecycles.
- Credibility with senior leaders and decision-makers; confident presenting to commands, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Ability to translate mission requirements into Compass Group capabilities and build solutions that are operationally relevant.
- A steady, adaptive approach when working across multiple priorities, timelines, and internal teams.
