Job Summary
Leads the design, development, and delivery of ESFM’s financial and operational business intelligence solutions to drive data-informed decision-making. Partners with Finance, IT, and Operations to enhance enterprise reporting, KPI dashboards, and automation. Combines strategic business partnership with hands-on BI development to strengthen ESFM’s data-driven culture.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance Power BI dashboards, executive scorecards, and KPI reports.
- Integrate Power BI with data platforms like Snowflake and automate data sources (Smartsheet, SharePoint, Excel).
- Translate business needs into actionable BI solutions through stakeholder collaboration.
- Oversee data modeling, DAX, and governance to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Develop standardized KPIs, reporting frameworks, and labor analytics tools.
- Leverage BI, automation, and AI tools to streamline workflows and improve decision-making.
- Stay current on BI trends and ensure compliance with data integrity and security standards.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, business intelligence, or data analytics within a large, multi-site organization.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI reporting environments, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Proficient in SQL for querying and transforming data; experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Google Looker preferred.
- Experience with analytics and workflow automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate).
- Demonstrated success establishing data governance and performance optimization practices.
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
- Experience with SAP, Anaplan, or Essbase/Hyperion is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of business intelligence concepts, data visualization, and best practices.
- Advanced data modeling and architecture skills, including star schema design.
- Strong SQL and database management capabilities.
- Advanced DAX, Power Query, and Excel proficiency.
- Ability to build and manage paginated reports.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling visual narratives.
