Job Summary
Staff Accountant to join the Crothall Finance team who will provide essential financial analysis and support to a dynamic, growing team and organization. The Staff Accountant collaborates with numerous functional areas to provide a wide range of impactful support with primary focus on supporting the operations team. The position will initially be assigned to our Intelas Health Services sector and report to the sector’s Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses by determining reporting needs based on business requirements.
- Proactively analyzes trends, causes and variances.
- Monitoring of effective financial and accounting controls, policies and procedures
- Engage in process / system improvements and other ad-hoc projects
- Ensure all required documentation is completed, organized, and retained
- Review contracts to ensure adherence to company policies and the necessary Accounting treatment
- Highlight all problematic aging reconciliation items and update progress of resolving them
- Assist internal and/or external audit process as required
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- Works independently, with broadly defined work objectives, and limited supervision
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting
- Experience in financial analysis for a multi-unit, decentralized business preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast moving and dynamic business
- Ability to collaboratively work as part of a team; maintain a professional demeanor
- Handle multiple tasks and special assignments
- Highly motivated
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications,
- SAP and Spreadsheet Server knowledge is a plus
