Job Summary
The United Center is the largest arena in the United States and is located near the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The United Center hosts concerts, other events, and is home to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association. The Banquets Porter supports event operations by setting up, maintaining, and breaking down banquet spaces to deliver Levy’s “world-class” guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms, VIP areas, and event spaces per BEO specifications.
- Deliver food, beverages, and supplies to locker rooms, backstage, and event areas.
- Maintain coffee stations, beverage stations, and service areas.
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and resetting of banquet and non-banquet spaces.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas during events.
- Support servers, bartenders, and other team members as needed.
- Track and restock inventory, linens, beverages, and disposables.
- Follow responsible alcohol service and professional conduct standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 months of hospitality or banquet experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
