Job Summary
The United Center is the largest arena in the U.S., located near the West Side of Chicago. It is home to the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and NBA’s Chicago Bulls, and hosts major concerts and events year-round.
As a Bartender, you’ll deliver excellent guest service while maintaining a clean, organized bar. You’ll prepare drinks, handle transactions, support bar backs, and ensure full compliance with responsible alcohol service standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Support bar backs by helping clean glassware and restock bar and cocktail areas
-
Fully stock and inventory bar before shift; count and balance your cash bank

Greet guests, take orders, upsell, and provide personalized service

Keep bar areas clean and organized throughout the shift

Accurately prepare final checks, collect payment, and complete POS transactions
-
Open and close liquor, wine, and bottled beer inventory
-
Do not serve wine or bottled drinks to servers without a valid sales ticket
-
Secure credit cards for open tabs; ring in all drinks immediately after serving

Close and clean the bar area at the end of shift

Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements:
-
Basic math, reading, and communication skills
-
Ability to operate POS systems
-
Problem-solving and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
-
Must maintain cleanliness and follow all safety and alcohol service procedures
Alcohol Service Standards (Levy):
-
No alcohol served to guests under 21; ID required for anyone appearing under 30
-
No over-service to intoxicated guests
-
Maximum two alcoholic drinks per guest per valid ID
-
All drinks must be rung in immediately
