Job Summary

The Director of Biomedical Services II leads the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) program for assigned hospital accounts, ensuring equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and patient safety. This role supervises biomedical technicians and manages complex clinical equipment, including life-support systems, imaging devices, and integrated technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Oversight: Direct and mentor Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) and Imaging Service Engineers; ensure operational excellence and adherence to ISO:13485 and QMP standards.

- Technical Management: Oversee repair, installation, calibration, and maintenance of medical devices and instrumentation; manage planned maintenance and electrical safety testing.

- Network Integration Support: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate medical devices into hospital networks, ensuring secure connectivity, compliance with cybersecurity protocols, and interoperability with clinical systems (e.g., EMR, PACS).

- Program Administration: Maintain asset management systems (CMMS), validate data integrity, and generate performance reports; manage budgets and procurement processes.

- Training & Compliance: Provide in-service education on equipment use and network connectivity; enforce safety and performance standards.

 

Qualifications:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

- Minimum 5 years in biomedical services and 3 years in supervisory roles.

- Strong knowledge of medical device networking, cybersecurity, and clinical IT systems.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
