Job Summary
The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at Jake Melnick's. This position ensures all dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored. The Dishwasher helps maintain a hygienic, efficient, and productive work environment while following Levy’s high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Daily Tasks:

Operate commercial dishwashing machines

Hand-wash specialty items as needed
-
Empty trash and clean waste disposal areas

Sweep and mop floors throughout dish and prep areas
-
Stock clean dishes and kitchenware in designated areas

Monitor cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
Overarching Tasks:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to sanitation standards

Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and cleaning chemicals

Assist in deep-cleaning projects during and after service hours
-
Support kitchen staff as needed with prep and organization

Report equipment issues to management promptly
-
Contribute to team efforts and communicate effectively with fellow staff
