Loft Barback

Job Summary

The United Center, the largest arena in the United States, is located on the West Side of Chicago. Home to the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and NBA’s Chicago Bulls, the venue also hosts concerts, shows, and other large-scale events throughout the year.

The Suites Loft Barback provides critical support to bartenders and beverage supervisors within the Suites Loft bar and service areas. This role is essential in helping maintain high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, and guest service during all United Center events.

Availability Requirement:

Open availability is required for all events at the United Center, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Events include all Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks home games, concerts, and special functions.

Responsibilities:

• Support bartenders and supervisors in maintaining well-stocked and organized bar areas.

• Set up, maintain, and clean bar stations before, during, and after service.

• Wash and restock glassware throughout the event.

• Respond promptly to bartenders' needs and proactively monitor supply levels.

• Clear and clean spills, broken glass, and clutter from bar and surrounding areas.

• Assist other team members as needed, including food running when necessary.

• Complete proper check-out procedures with the manager at the end of each shift.

• Adhere strictly to Levy’s Responsible Alcohol Service standards.

Responsible Alcohol Service Standards:

• No alcohol may be served to guests under 21 years of age; guests appearing under 30 must present valid ID.

• No over-service to any guest appearing intoxicated.

• Limit of 2 alcoholic drinks per guest per ID at a time.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Basic math and reasoning skills for inventory and restocking.

• Must be 21 years or older.
