Job Summary

As a Food & Workplace Safety Specialist with FLIK, you will contribute to maintaining world‑class food safety and workplace standards that support safe, consistent, and high‑performing operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the implementation, monitoring, and verification of food safety, workplace safety, and Quality Assurance (QA) standards across assigned units.
  • Provide clear, actionable written feedback to managers and culinary teams to support continuous improvement and safe operating practices.
  • Partner with unit leaders to identify safety or QA gaps and help drive timely, effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients, leadership teams, unit managers, and culinary staff on safety- and QA‑related initiatives and improvements.
  • Participate in internal back‑of‑house inspections and support preparation for external audits.
  • Deliver training and guidance on food safety, workplace safety, and QA protocols, ensuring documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
  • Contribute to additional safety, QA, and operational tasks as needed to support unit success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of food service experience.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Working knowledge of food safety principles and basic regulatory requirements (FDA Food Code familiarity is a plus).
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in time‑sensitive situations.
  • Highly organized, detail‑focused, and consistent with follow‑through.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of food safety inspection or auditing experience.
  • CP‑FS credential.
  • OSHA 10‑Hour certification.
  • Experience supporting multi‑unit or distributed food service operations.
