Director of Catering Services – Texas A&M University | College Station, TX

Are you a passionate and strategic catering leader ready to elevate the collegiate dining experience? We’re seeking an experienced Director of Catering Services to oversee a high-volume, high-profile catering operation at Texas A&M University, one of our flagship accounts in College Station, TX.
As the Director of Catering Services, you will take the lead in delivering exceptional service across a variety of high-impact campus events — from VIP functions and alumni galas to student and faculty gatherings. You'll be the key liaison between our catering team and the client, driving both innovation and flawless execution. What You'll Do:
- Lead, inspire, and grow a passionate catering team to deliver world-class hospitality.
- Build and execute creative, revenue-generating strategies that set a new standard for campus events.
- Maintain and exceed company and client expectations for service, quality, and cost control.
- Develop strong client and guest relationships through exceptional communication and service delivery.
- Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Ensure seamless interdepartmental collaboration for consistent operational excellence.
- Supports catering budget and maintains financial accountabilities as it relates to service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Strong knowledge of food, industry trends and fine dining points of service
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in managing catering events
- The ability to supervise food service and clean up is also essential
- TIPs certification required
- ServSafe certification recommended
- Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
- Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
- Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
- Exceptional customer service abilities
