PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)
- We are hiring immediately for full time PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN positions.
- Location: TAMU - 600 Agronomy Road, College Station, TX 77843. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
- Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
- Requirement: Prior maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, hydronic pumps, and mechanical experience are required.
- Pay Range: $14.00 per hour to $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary
Summary: The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role focuses on scheduled inspections, servicing, and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include:
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, hydronic pumps, plumbing, lighting, and other mechanical equipment per established schedules.
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment to manufacturer or organizational standards.
- Identify and report signs of wear, malfunctions, or safety hazards.
- Document all maintenance activities, findings, and parts used in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist in developing and refining maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Collaborate with skilled trades, contractors, and other technicians to support repairs and corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and spare parts required for preventive maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations during maintenance activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications May Include:
- Two years of experience in a maintenance or facilities-related role, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- Valid driver's license.
- Vocational training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems (preferred).
- EPA Section 608 Certification (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt and/or areas requiring infection control. Requires meeting deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis. Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.
