Job Summary

This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company. We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager to lead the food service operation at St. Philip's Episcopal School in Coral Gables, FL. This Monday–Friday role serves approximately 250 students, faculty, and staff, with minimal catering responsibilities and one monthly Sunday service. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full culinary management of the food service operation, including inventory, ordering, and receiving

  • Demonstrated knowledge of P&L accountability; contract-managed service experience is desirable

  • Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory, with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products

  • Strong passion for sustainability

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HACCP

  • Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant setting with inventory and purchasing control

  • In-depth knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation

  • Experience with exposition cooking

  • Familiarity with P&L accountability and contract-managed services

  • ServSafe certification is a plus
