Job Summary
Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a warm, professional, and guest-focused event-based part-time Host/Hostess to join our Premium Clubs team. This role is responsible for creating an exceptional first impression by welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and supporting premium dining operations. The Host/Hostess will also assist with dessert cart service and other front-of-house responsibilities to ensure an elevated guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and escort them to their tables based on reservations and seating availability.
- Manage guest reservations and respond to inquiries in person and by phone.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality while creating a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable dining experience.
- Coordinate with servers and management to optimize seating flow and guest service.
- Assist with the setup of buffet displays, signage, serving utensils, and dining areas.
- Support dining room operations by bussing and resetting tables as needed while following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the dessert cart.
- Serve desserts, pastries, cakes, ice cream, coffee, and other specialty items with professionalism and attention to presentation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready dining areas throughout each event.
- Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in hospitality, food and beverage, hotels, clubs, restaurants, or premium dining environments preferred.
- Previous stadium, arena, entertainment venue, or fine dining experience is a plus.
- Valid TABC Certification and ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
- Outstanding customer service, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the dining room during service.
