Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 / yr.

Join Our Team as a Chef Manager at Charles River School
We are seeking a dynamic and growth-minded Chef Manager to lead our food service operation at Charles River School in Dover, MA. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall success of both the culinary program and daily food service, including catering, with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and operational excellence.
We are looking for a passionate, innovative leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings creativity and operational expertise to every plate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering, and receiving
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
- Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products
- Possesses a passion for sustainability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have a working knowledge of HACCP
- Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice in a fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Experience with exposition cooking required
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
- ServSafe certified is a plus
