Job Summary

At Wolfgang Puck Catering, we create exceptional dining experiences that bring hospitality, culinary excellence, and personalized service together. The Private Club Manager for the Chargers 1960 Club plays a key leadership role in delivering memorable experiences for members, VIP guests, and event clients while ensuring seamless day-to-day club operations.
 
This position oversees premium club service, event execution, team leadership, and client relationships across both on-premise and off-premise events. Success in this role comes from balancing operational excellence, guest experience, financial stewardship, and team development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Chargers 1960 Club, ensuring exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.
  • Oversee VIP hospitality experiences, member engagement, and premium event service delivery.
  • Partner with clients to understand event goals, budgets, and expectations while providing recommendations on menus, venue setup, entertainment, and event logistics.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to design customized menus that align with client needs and event objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee event planning and execution for both on-site and off-site catering functions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements and manage external partnerships to support successful event delivery.
  • Partner with Event Managers and operational teams to ensure events are executed according to established standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead scheduling, staffing, and labor planning to support operational needs and service excellence.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop both full-time and temporary team members.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture focused on hospitality and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate financial, administrative, and event records.
  • Monitor event profitability, labor costs, sales performance, and operating budgets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between catering sales, culinary leadership, operations teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to identify successes, opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Address client concerns professionally and proactively to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Support timely billing, collections, and contract fulfillment activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience leading hospitality, private club, premium dining, catering, or event operations environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing guest experiences, special events, and operational teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, senior leaders, and operational teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, P&L performance, labor planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven relationship-building and client management skills.
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing external partnerships.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary leaders and hospitality professionals.
  • Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across multiple departments.
  • Passion for hospitality, service excellence, and creating experiences that exceed guest expectations.
