Setting: corporate wellness 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekends, 15% travel to other locations outside of MN

Requirement: RD Credential, retail/marketing experience preferred

Position Details: The Wellness Manager oversees the coordination and execution of nutrition and wellness programs, serving as the on-site expert for nutrition education, allergen management, and sustainability initiatives. The role leads wellness trainings, teaching kitchens, conducts site visits to ensure program integrity, and supports clients and guests with dietary needs. RD will also develop and lead popup promotional events in coordination with other dietitians. Responsibilities include creating accurate and appealing menu signage, managing social media and marketing materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customized wellness and dining solutions. The candidate will also input and maintain recipes in menu management software, train culinary staff on standardized recipes, and support new concept development and VIP events. Limited travel is required to provide on-site support and training.

Salary: $70,000-$75,000

Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Wellness Manager is responsible for all assigned nutrition and wellness information and activity for the account; will customize, support, coordinate, and measure nutrition and wellness initiatives and provide nutrition education, training, communication and guidance as needed; and, work collaboratively with the operations, culinary, IT and marketing to promote and support corporate nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies to develop and implement wellness related programs and initiatives and to ensure compliance with FDA nutrition labeling laws and client goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands and promotes Company food philosophy, sustainability commitments, and nutrition programs.
  • Develops, implements, and/or tracks effectiveness of corporate nutrition and wellness programming taking into account current dietary recommendations and trends, overall account profiles, and client needs.
  • Leads team projects related to the growth of nutrition and health.
  • Plays an active role in educating internal teams on Company protocols related to risk management of food allergies and special diets.
  • Plays lead role in roll-out and maintenance of guest-facing nutrition communication programs.
  • Creates digital and physical signage for menus, specials and promotions.
  • Manages social media posting
  • Assists unit managers by providing necessary marketing collateral for account displays
  • Customizes and presents materials for health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, client meetings, cafe wellness events, tastings, etc.
  • Coordinates and co-teaches Teaching Kitchen sessions.
  • Assists unit managers by providing necessary marketing collateral for account displays.
  • plays lead role in roll-out and maintainence of guest-facing nutrition communication programs.
  • Conducts site visits for purpose of quality control of nutritional program, nutritional standards, on-site nutritional support (meeting with students, clients, etc.) and on-site programming.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of nutrition topics related to food service, college student health and wellness. Communicates to team regarding industry’s nutritional trends.
  • Train chefs on accurate standardized recipe writing. Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust methods as needed, tracking participant outcomes post-training.
  • Input recipes into menu management software and communicate accurate nutrition, ingredient, and labeling information to stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required.
  • Maintain all professional continuing education requirements to maintain required credentials and licensure.
  • Three (3) years of Wellness experience in unit-specific environment preferred. Culinary and/or foodservice experience preferred.
  • Continuous improvement/growth mindset- ability to identify risks and inefficiencies and provide solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to proof and validate large quantities of data.
