About the Role

Rank + Rally is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Director of Retail to lead the U.S. Soccer retail partnership. This role will oversee retail operations supporting the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, major competitions, events and other U.S. Soccer properties.

The Director will lead retail strategy, financial performance, merchandising, inventory and team development while providing oversight of e-commerce and venue operations. This role will serve as the primary retail connection between Rank + Rally and U.S. Soccer and help create an exceptional fan experience across all retail channels.

Qualifications

· 8+ years of progressive retail leadership experience.

· Experience managing a complex, high-volume or multi-channel retail business.

· Strong financial, merchandising, inventory and assortment-planning experience.

· Experience with e-commerce, omnichannel retail and event-based operations.

· Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop salaried leaders and frontline teams.

· Strong knowledge of POS, inventory and retail reporting systems.

· Excellent communication, relationship-management and presentation skills.

· Strong organizational, project-management and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, lifestyle or another event-driven business preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, merchandising, hospitality or a related field preferred.

· Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel.

· Passion for sports, retail, consumer products and exceptional fan experiences.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the day-to-day retail partnership between Rank + Rally and U.S. Soccer.

· Develop annual business plans and long-term growth strategies.

· Establish and monitor sales, margin, inventory, labor and operating objectives.

· Directly lead, coach and develop three salaried retail leaders.

· Establish performance expectations, development plans and succession opportunities for the leadership team.

· Support recruitment, retention and development of retail employees.

· Oversee merchandising, product assortment, vendor relationships and seasonal or limited-edition launches.

· Provide strategic oversight of matchday, venue, tournament, pop-up and special-event retail operations.

· Partner with venue general managers and event leaders to support consistent execution.

· Maintain visibility into e-commerce performance, product launches, inventory and customer experience.

· Own financial planning, forecasting, profitability and performance reviews.

· Oversee inventory planning, allocation, replenishment, transfers and reconciliation across channels, leveraging RFID technology for real-time visbility.

· Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margins, operations and the fan experience.

· Coordinate cross-functional partners across merchandising, planning, e-commerce, operations, distribution, marketing, finance, HR, technology and customer service.

· Communicate business performance, opportunities and challenges to Rank + Rally and U.S. Soccer leadership.
