Job Summary

The Fort Worth Zoo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for private events, corporate functions, weddings, social gatherings, and special occasions within one of the nation's top-ranked zoological attractions.

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating Food and Beverage Sales, managing client relationships, coordinating event details, and driving catering revenue growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the planning process from initial inquiry to event execution while delivering exceptional customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and secure new catering and event business opportunities
  • Respond to inquiries and conduct venue tours for prospective clients
  • Develop customized event proposals and catering packages
  • Negotiate contracts and manage event bookings
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and event teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, community organizations, and event planners
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and revenue targets
  • Track sales activity and maintain accurate records within CRM systems

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of catering, hospitality, event, or venue sales experience
  • Proven success meeting sales goals and growing revenue
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Experience with event management and CRM software preferred
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
