Job Summary

A growing MEP expanded solutions company is seeking an experienced Sr. Fire Alarm Service Technician to step into a key role and help take our fire alarm division to the next level.

This key role focuses on inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing existing fire alarm systems while providing professional communication and exceptional customer service.

Primary Duties

- Conduct inspections, testing, and routine maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local Codes and Customer requirements

- Troubleshoot system problems and perform necessary repairs.

- Replace system components

- Carry out scheduled annual, quarterly, and periodic inspections.

- Accurately document all findings, deficiencies, and completed repair work.

- Clearly communicate inspection outcomes and recommended actions to customers.

- Manage service calls and schedules and ensure timely follow‑up on corrective work.

- Build and maintain customer relations ships

- Follow safety procedures in alignment with OSHA and company guidelines.

 

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ experience servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems

Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and related equipment

Ability to inspect and troubleshoot fire alarm systems of various manufacturers

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system documents.

Ability to produce and read service tickets and inspection reports with systems software and applications.

 

 

Physical Demands

- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

- Experienced working at elevated heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.

 

Preferred Certifications

- Texas FAL required

- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

- On‑call and after‑hours availability required.
