Unique Opportunity to Join FLIK as an Assistant Manager in Fairfield, CT

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front-of-house operations for the dynamic corporate dining program at Graham Capital Management, a premier investment management firm in Fairfield, CT. Located in a historic 1800s mansion, this role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional dining and hospitality experiences to a fast-growing community of 200+ professionals. 

 

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll be the face of hospitality, ensuring smooth, polished service across daily dining and high-profile catering events. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance service delivery, team oversight, and client engagement.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with managing food service operations in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with the maximum value.
  • Ensures the food offered to the client, customers, and associates of the operation is of superior quality.
  • Assists with purchasing and inventory.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with associates, guests and clients, as well as other departments within the operation.
  • Managing front-of-house operations, including the café, grill, deli, salad bar, and multiple coffee pantries.
  • Supporting catering services, from conference room lunches to executive dining and large-scale events.
  • Working alongside the onsite Director and the Executive Chef to maintain operational excellence.
  • Overseeing temporary staff during larger events and ensuring seamless guest service.
  • Providing hands-on support: setting up, serving, clearing, and assisting at the POS station when needed.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service with a professional, personable, and approachable demeanor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of hands-on food service management experience.
  • Experience in fine dining restaurants, boutique hotels, country clubs, and/or related food service operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food.
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
