Life Safety & Facilities Systems Coordinator 
Job Summary
The Life Safety & Facilities Systems Coordinator supports the hospital’s life safety, facilities systems, and regulatory readiness efforts. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate life safety documentation, facility drawings, and asset records in support of patient safety, accreditation, and compliance requirements. The coordinator partners with Facilities, Safety, Engineering, and Clinical leaders to support system accuracy, project coordination, and continuous compliance in a healthcare environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Life Safety & Regulatory Support
•    Support compliance with healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission, AHJ).
•    Maintain and update life safety drawings, including egress, fire protection, smoke compartments, and critical systems.
•    Assist with survey readiness by ensuring accurate documentation and system alignment.
Blueprint & Drawing Management
•    Organize, standardize, and maintain facility blueprints and life safety drawings.
•    Coordinate drawing updates related to renovations, equipment changes, or infrastructure projects.
•    Ensure version control and accessibility of current facility drawings.
Asset Allocation & Data Accuracy
•    Review and correct asset allocation data within CMMS/IWMS systems.
•    Ensure supported and life safety–related assets are accurately assigned, labeled, and documented.
•    Assist with asset audits and data validation to support compliance and lifecycle management.
Water Management & LAMSP
•    Support the Legionella and Water Management Safety Program (LAMSP).
•    Maintain water management documentation and assist with monitoring and system updates.
•    Coordinate records related to water safety compliance and mitigation efforts.
Project Coordination
•    Provide documentation and system coordination support for life safety and facilities projects.
•    Track deliverables, system updates, and impacts to life safety documentation.
•    Serve as a liaison between Facilities, Safety, Engineering, and external partners.
Team Coach & Collaboration
•    Act as a resource and team coach for life safety documentation standards and best practices.
•    Support training and consistency related to drawings, assets, and compliance tools.
•    Promote continuous improvement in system accuracy and documentation.
Qualifications
Required
•    Associate degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
•    Experience in a healthcare facilities, safety, or compliance environment.
•    Ability to read and interpret life safety drawings and technical documentation.
•    Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Preferred
•    Experience with Joint Commission or CMS survey preparation.
•    Familiarity with CMMS/IWMS systems.
•    Knowledge of life safety systems, fire protection, or water management programs.
