Job Summary
The Customer Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for delivering exceptional client and customer experiences while supporting account retention, route operations, and business growth. This role partners with local leadership to manage customer relationships, resolve service issues, drive operational excellence, and support a team of route associates. The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, organized, and proactive, with a passion for service and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships through regular site visits, service reviews, and retention efforts.
- Support branch openings, transitions, and customer onboarding activities.
- Ensure compliance with company, local, and national account standards.
- Identify service opportunities and implement action plans to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance.
- Partner with local leadership to develop sales growth strategies, improve profitability, and increase account retention.
- Promote merchandising, pricing, and product placement best practices to drive revenue.
- Review location performance through audits, reporting, and customer feedback.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Provide leadership and support to route associates, ensuring service standards are consistently met.
- Perform Route Driver duties when necessary, including product delivery, merchandising, and equipment servicing.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3+ years of customer service, account management, route operations, retail, foodservice, or related experience.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams of 5-10 associates preferred.
- Experience managing multiple customer accounts and building strong client relationships.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and material-handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Florida Level 2 Background Screening required for this position.
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity and company vehicle.
