Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager II oversees all daily warehouse operations while driving continuous process improvements and operational excellence. This role is responsible for leading and developing warehouse teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing labor, equipment, and inventory to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflows, accurate inventory management, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) while adhering to budget expectations
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Warehouse Associates and, where applicable, Supervisors and Team Leads, including performance management and ongoing development
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, safety, and HR to align priorities and meet service requirements
- Allocate labor, equipment, and warehouse space efficiently to maximize productivity
- Oversee inventory control, order fulfillment, and overall facility readiness across all shifts
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and union agreements (where applicable)
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service levels
- Prepare and present operational reports, metrics, and insights to senior leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse or distribution supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, including supervisors or team leads preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), order processing, and reporting tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP/WMS experience preferred
- Ability to analyze data and drive operational improvements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (if required)
- Experience in a union environment preferred
