Job Summary

As an Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Associate Care Center (ACC), which serves as the primary point of contact for route drivers across the business. This role is responsible for overseeing the intake, prioritization, and resolution of driver requests while ensuring a high level of service, communication, and accountability. The Operations Manager will lead Associate Care Center attendant(s), coordinate cross-functional support, and partner with operations, fleet, and leadership teams to deliver effective solutions for drivers.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. They possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills and can build productive relationships across multiple teams. Experience supporting food service, fleet operations, logistics, transportation, customer support, or other operational environments is highly preferred. A commitment to compliance, operational excellence, and team development is essential.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Associate Care Center (ACC) attendant(s), providing coaching, training, and performance support.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for driver-related concerns, inquiries, and operational support needs.
  • Oversee the intake, tracking, prioritization, and resolution of driver requests to ensure timely and effective solutions.
  • Partner with fleet, operations, maintenance, inventory, safety, and leadership teams to coordinate support and resolve issues impacting route drivers.
  • Assist drivers with vehicle-related concerns, truck inventory questions, equipment issues, and other operational requests.
  • Monitor service levels and identify opportunities to improve driver support processes, communication, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on departmental goals, key performance indicators, accomplishments, and future initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Analyze trends, recurring issues, and operational challenges to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage and service delivery.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Foster a collaborative culture built on accountability, communication, customer service, and continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of supervisory, team lead, or people management experience in food service, logistics, transportation, fleet operations, customer support, distribution, warehouse, or other operational environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and drive operational improvements.
  • Experience supporting drivers, field-based employees, fleet operations, customer service functions, or other operational support teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety, safety programs, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, influence, and develop team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant operational leadership experience.
