Job Summary
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for sourcing products, managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting strategic purchasing decisions for vending and micro-market operations. This role leverages data analysis, forecasting, and market insights to drive cost savings, maintain product availability, improve supplier performance, and support overall business profitability.

Analyze purchasing, inventory, and sales data to identify trends and support buying decisions.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, rebates, and promotions with suppliers to maximize value.

Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while monitoring supplier performance, service levels, and lead times.

Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts, overstocks, and product obsolescence

Identify cost-saving opportunities through product substitutions, strategic sourcing, and spend analysis.

Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain risks that may impact product availability and cost.

rack and report key performance metrics including inventory turns, fill rates, forecast accuracy, and purchase price variance.

Collaborate with operations, warehouse, sales, merchandising, and finance teams to align purchasing strategies with business needs.

Support new product launches, seasonal programs, and promotional initiatives.

Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, inventory control, and profitability.

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field preferred.

Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent excel skills and experience with online purchasing or inventory management systems.

Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

Experience in vending, foodservice, convenience retail, or distribution environments preferred

Success in this role is measured by cost savings, supplier performance, inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, product availability, and overall contribution to company profitability.
