Job Summary
Canteen is now hiring a Marketing Specialist to join our corporate support team. This position will play a key operational role in coordinating merchandising decisions for the region through data-driven analysis. The main objectives are to drive sales growth, achieve revenue targets, and ensure exceptional customer service across all retail locations within the assigned region. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in merchandising analysis, excellent interpersonal skills, expertise in merchandising and supply chain best practices, and the ability to lead effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will work closely with warehouse personnel, field operations, and supplier partners to accomplish merchandising decisions.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
• Conduct data-driven analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improving merchandising strategies.
• Develop and oversee the execution of corporate and regional retail strategies.
• Ensure effective communication to complete projects on time.
• Maintain knowledge of products, planograms, and merchandising strategies.
• Understand local/national account restrictions.
• Generate reports for leadership.
• Coordinate and organize resources efficiently to accomplish larger strategies and goals.
Preferred Qualifications
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Assertive and capable of building and maintaining effective relationships.
• High attention to detail and exceptional work quality.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Retail management and merchandising experience are a plus.
• Warehouse/purchasing experience is a plus.
Education and/or Experience
• 3 years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
• Working knowledge of computers and software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook.
Language Skills
• Ability to read and interpret data, procedures,
• Ability to write routine correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of associates.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization1.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
